Job description

Vice President Security Risk and Resilience (APAC)

What if your next leadership role gave you the opportunity to shape security, risk and resilience across one of APAC's leading Mission Critical Data Centre platforms?

Summary/Objective

The Vice President Security Risk and Resilience leads the security, enterprise risk management, business continuity, operational resilience, crisis management and assurance functions across APAC Critical Operations. The role is accountable for protecting people, customers, assets, information and operations by establishing the governance, standards and resilience frameworks required to support a safe, secure, reliable and scalable Critical Operations organisation.

The Vice President directly leads and develops Site Security Managers across APAC, providing clear regional direction and ensuring consistent security leadership, customer service, compliance, incident response and performance standards across STACK sites.

The Vice President serves as the independent control and assurance function for APAC Critical Operations, ensuring the organisation can scale while maintaining an appropriate risk posture, regulatory compliance and operational resilience. As a core member of the APAC Critical Operations Leadership Team, the role shares accountability for customer success, operational continuity, business resilience and organisational performance.

Security is a visible leader of the customer experience. The Vice President sets the expectation that security controls, customer assurance, audits, incident handling and security-related engagements are delivered with urgency, professionalism, transparency and a strong service mindset, protecting customers and the platform while building trust and minimising unnecessary friction.

This role directly supports STACK's commitment to 100% uptime and a concierge-level customer service experience, ensuring risk is proactively managed, planned works are executed safely, and customer communications are clear, timely and professional.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the regional leader for Security, Risk and Resilience, you'll establish the frameworks, standards and governance that enable STACK's APAC Critical Operations organisation to scale safely and confidently.

You’ll:

  • Lead, coach and hold accountable Site Security Managers across APAC.

  • Establish consistent security, risk, resilience and assurance standards across sites.

  • Provide independent challenge and practical risk advice to the APAC Critical Operations Leadership Team.

  • Partner with Operations to establish the framework and assurance model while maintaining clear operational accountability.

  • Work closely with Customer Success to strengthen customer trust, security assurance, audit performance and service continuity.

  • Integrate risk and resilience into operational standards, readiness frameworks, playbooks and governance processes.

  • Establish technology risk, access governance, data governance and systems resilience requirements across operational platforms and technology environments.

  • Partner with Commercial, Contracts and Procurement on supplier risk, critical supplier resilience and third-party assurance.

  • Embed security, resilience, maintainability and continuity considerations into facility design and lifecycle planning.

  • Ensure new facilities are handed over with appropriate security readiness, resilience assessments and operational risk controls.

  • Translate security, risk and resilience issues into clear business impact, executive decisions and accountable actions.

  • Lead executive response and coordination during significant incidents, emergencies and crises.

  • Drive continuous improvement through meaningful metrics, trend analysis, assurance findings and risk treatment actions.

What You'll Bring

You are a senior security, risk or resilience leader who can operate confidently at executive level while maintaining a strong customer and operational mindset.

We're looking for extensive leadership experience across security, enterprise risk, business continuity, operational resilience, crisis management and/or assurance in complex Mission Critical, infrastructure or similarly high-consequence environments.

Your background may include Data Centres, critical infrastructure, energy, utilities, Defence, aviation, healthcare or other highly regulated and operationally complex sectors.

You’ll bring:

  • Extensive senior leadership experience across security, risk, resilience, business continuity, crisis management and/or assurance.

  • Proven experience leading regional or multi-site programs across multiple jurisdictions and stakeholder groups.

  • Strong customer-facing experience involving security assurance, customer audits, compliance requirements and executive customer engagement.

  • Deep knowledge of physical security governance, including access control, CCTV, guarding and security risk assessment.

  • Proven experience establishing risk frameworks, risk registers, treatment programs, reporting and emerging-risk monitoring.

  • Strong business continuity, crisis management and emergency preparedness experience.

  • Experience managing third-party risk, critical supplier resilience and supplier assurance.

  • Strong executive communication and the ability to provide constructive challenge while building trusted relationships.

  • A data-driven approach to security, risk and resilience metrics, trend analysis and continuous improvement.

  • The ability to operate effectively across different countries, cultures, customer requirements and regulatory environments across APAC.

  • Willingness and ability to provide executive leadership during significant incidents or crises outside standard business hours.

  • Legal entitlement to work in the employing jurisdiction and ability to satisfy applicable background, access and security requirements.

  • Willingness to undertake regional APAC travel as required.

Why STACK?

At STACK Infrastructure, security and resilience are fundamental to how we protect our people, customers, facilities and the infrastructure that powers the digital world.

This is an opportunity to operate at regional executive level, influence how a growing APAC Critical Operations organisation manages risk and resilience, and help create a consistent security and assurance standard across a portfolio of Mission Critical Data Centres.
