Job summary

The Animal Referral Hospital (ARH) in Brisbane is a premier emergency and specialist veterinary hospital offering 24/7 care and a wide range of services. We seek a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our Internal Medicine team and advance your career in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You will work with Specialists, Registrars and Residents, delivering high standards of patient care while developing your skills in a dynamic setting that values growth and learning.

Qualifications

• Qualified Veterinary Nurse with Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or BVetTech.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience; specialty nursing valued.
• Passion for Internal Medicine; high standards and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and organisational skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of Rx Works / Smart Flow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient treatments and care
• Patient recovery and monitoring
• IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
• Blood collection and use of in-house lab equipment
• Anaesthesia
• Radiology (including CT & MRI imaging)
• Assisting with specialty ultrasonography
• Equipment cleaning and maintenance
