Job summary

RSPCA Victoria seeks a Certified Veterinary Nurse to support daily animal care, assist veterinarians with medications, treatments, minor procedures and anaesthesia. You will monitor health and behaviour, educate the public on welfare, and uphold our values in a collaborative team.

The role operates on a rotating roster, with weekends and public holidays possible, and offers a generous benefits package to support wellbeing and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.
• Knowledge of animal anatomy, behaviour and disease recognition.
• Competency in the technical skills outlined in the qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support daily animal care and husbandry, assist veterinarians with medication, treatments, minor procedures and anaesthesia.
• Monitor and report animal health and behaviour concerns.
• Deliver excellent customer service and educate the public on animal welfare and RSPCA services.
• Foster a positive, inclusive team environment through effective communication and alignment with RSPCA values.
