You will work alongside skilled veterinarians and nurses in a collaborative environment where professional development, teamwork and high standards of nursing care are genuinely valued.

About us:

Established in 1964, Doncaster Veterinary Hospital has a long-standing reputation for providing trusted, compassionate care to generations of clients and their pets. From our purpose-built facility, our team delivers high-quality veterinary medicine and surgery with a strong focus on clear communication, continuity of care and positive patient outcomes. We support clients through preventative health care and the treatment of sick or injured pets, while striving to provide a consistently high standard of care for every animal we see.

Our nurses are valued members of the clinical team and are actively involved in patient care, hospital procedures and client support. The caseload is varied and engaging, including routine procedures, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, laparoscopic surgery, internal medicine, infectious disease cases and more. This provides a rewarding opportunity for nurses who enjoy hands‑on clinical work in a busy, well‑equipped hospital environment.

The Opportunity:

This is a varied and rewarding part-time or full-time role for a veterinary nurse, with duties across both hospital nursing and reception nursing. You will gain exposure to a wide range of clinical and client‑care responsibilities while working as part of a supportive nursing and veterinary team. Our practice is open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 1pm on Saturdays. Applicants should be available between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on weekends. Flexibility with working hours is highly valued.

Key selection criteria:
  • A qualified veterinary nurse, or an applicant with suitable hands‑on experience in a veterinary clinical setting
  • A compassionate and professional approach to patient care, client communication and teamwork
  • The ability to work confidently and collaboratively in a busy, team‑focused environment
  • A strong interest in continuing to develop your nursing skills and professional knowledge
  • A genuine passion for veterinary nursing, animal welfare and supporting clients through all stages of their pet’s care
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, client‑focused approach to customer service
