Job summary

Animal Emergency Service (AES) Carrara is seeking a Casual Emergency Veterinary Nurse to join the Carrara team. You will provide triage, emergency stabilisation, and critical care across shifts, supporting vets and assessments in a busy ECC environment.

You'll engage in anesthesia, emergency surgery, pathology, radiography, and animal care, including wildlife patients, while developing skills through the accredited program and team mentorship.

Qualifications

• ECC experience (1 year) or GP nursing experience (3+ years)
• Hands-on patient care and continued learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Our nurses are an integral part of the clinical team and work closely with our vets in the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of patients.

About You You'll have:

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
• Minimum 1year ECC experience or 3 years GP nursing experience
• A passion for hands‑on patient care and continued learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• Reliable transport and availability across weeknights, weekends and public holidays
