This full-time role requires Friday and Saturday availability and provides above-market pay, flexible hours, paid study leave, CE options, relocation support, and access to our national network of clinics.

Our Smithfield clinic is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to help you provide top-quality care. We specialise in Feline Medicine, Exotics, and Wildlife, creating a dynamic work environment for those interested in these areas. The clinic is located in the vibrant Smithfield area, with excellent lunch options within the shopping centre, undercover parking, and easy access to the outdoors. It’s only 10 minutes from Cairns and just 5 minutes from the beach, making it ideal for achieving a healthy work-life balance.
By joining Greencross Vets Smithfield, you’ll also become part of a national network of over 160 veterinary clinics and 24 emergency and specialist referral hospitals across Australia, supported by a 3000+ strong veterinary team.
We’re seeking motivated, skilled veterinarians with a passion for high-quality care. This role would suit an all-rounder or someone with a special interest that complements our existing team. You must also be able to work Fridays and Saturdays as needed, ensuring our loyal clients receive the best care throughout the week.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a BVSc or DVM degree from a university recognised by the AVBC. Whether you are an experienced vet or a recent graduate, we encourage you to apply if you’re passionate about providing excellent care and eager to grow in your career.
