Job description

Part time opportunity in a genuinely warm, long‑standing team

Greencross Gawler is a small, tight‑knit clinic where the team genuinely enjoys working together and where the bond with clients runs deep. With two vets and five experienced nurses, the clinic feels relaxed, familiar and supportive. It’s the kind of place where laughter is part of the day, everyone pitches in, and you’ll quickly get to know the majority of clients by name.

This is a clinic built on teamwork. Recent complex cases, like a cardiac patient requiring a dental extraction, showcased the team’s strength: excellent preparation, clear roles, seamless communication, and everyone working together to ensure the safest possible outcome. When a long‑standing client needed a compassionate farewell for their dog, team members even came in on their day off to be there with the family. That is who this team is: caring, grounded, and connected.

Each team member brings something unique: Brittany’s passion for learning, Ariana’s remarkable memory and client rapport, Steven’s hands‑on willingness to help — and new vets feel that warmth immediately. The clinic offers dental X‑rays and strong dental capability, and the support of Dr Nora, who has special interests in ultrasound and dentistry.

Gawler itself offers a lovely lifestyle: a historic country‑town feel with cafés, eateries and everything you need close by, while still being a gateway to the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and scenic walking trails. It’s a great spot for anyone wanting space, charm, and relaxed living within easy reach of Adelaide.

What we offer
  • Flexible part‑time roster
  • Unlimited internal CE, sponsored memberships and leadership development
  • The option to convert one week of study leave to annual leave
  • Access to VIN, Plumbs and Australia’s largest veterinary conference
  • Paid AVA or Vet Board registration
  • Heidi Health AI for streamlined clinical notes
  • Discounts across Greencross SP and specialty clinics, Petbarn and partner retailers
