Job summary

The University of Sydney's Sydney Conservatorium of Music invites applications for a Venue and Programming Manager. Based at the Sydney Conservatorium, you will oversee daily administration, supervise venue operations and programming for events and performances, and ensure high-quality service to staff, students, clients and visitors.

You will collaborate with SCM staff and external partners, program masterclasses and events, manage budgets, invoicing and supplier relationships, and help grow

Qualifications

• Experience in venue management and event delivery.
• Ability to design and deliver artistic programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in budgeting and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily administration activities and provide guidance to staff and students.
• Coordinate with staff and external stakeholders such as performers and clients.
• Program masterclasses, VIP events, recitals, and community engagements.
• Provide policy and procedural advice to stakeholders.
• Develop collaborations and resolve complex issues within the work area.
• Work with SCM Parramatta technical team and maintain user guides for events.
• Identify opportunities and develop event marketing materials for SCM displays.
• Oversee payment and invoicing for contractors, budgeting and debtor control.
• Act as a specialist venue and event delivery resource for other USYD venues when required.
