The Department of Government Services (DGS) wasestablishedon 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government.We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses.We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
The Vendor and Contract Manager supports the Procurement and Contract Management Delivery Team in tracking and maintaining systematic approaches to the acquisition of a variety of services to the Digital Platforms Division and other business units.
The role is also responsible for managing and overseeing end to end procurement and contract management within DGS and to provide expert advice, devise solutions and ensure purchasing and contract management activities achieve value for money and are efficient, effective and ethical. This involves the application of comprehensive working knowledge of established legislation, policy, procedures and guidelines to a range of activities often involving complexity and sensitivity.
The role will identify initiatives seeking continuous improvement in procurement and contract management practices and standards as well as ensuring the organisation complies with all relevant policies.
