Job summary

Tony White Group is seeking experienced Vehicle Painters to join teams across Victoria and Tasmania. Successful applicants will perform surface preparation, masking, priming, spray-applied coatings, color matching, polishing, and rust-proofing to deliver high-quality finishes.

Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing and have at least 3 years of hands-on painting experience. This is a full-time permanent role with competitive salary paid in AUD.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing required.
• At least 3 years of experience in vehicle painting or refinishing.
• Based in Victoria or Tasmania with willingness to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Remove rough spots on vehicle panels and sand surfaces.
• Mask areas not to be painted and color-match paints.
• Apply primer and finishing coats with spray guns and sand between coats.
• Touch up paintwork, polish, and wax finished surfaces.
• Paint signs and artwork on vehicles and apply rust-proofing chemicals.

Specializing in offering quality vehicles from established brands, our team is always committed to providing an unparalleled automotive experience for our customers. We are currently looking to recruit multiple experienced and qualified Vehicle Painters to join our teams throughout Victoria and Tasmania. Successful candidates will need to undertake and possess:

• Removing rough spots on vehicle panels
• Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders
• Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper
• Color matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint
• Applying primer and finishing coats using spray-guns, and sanding surfaces between coats
• Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles
• Removing masking papers, and waxing and polishing finished paintwork
• Painting signs and artwork on vehicles
• Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals
