MMT RECRUITMENT (Health) is seeking a dedicated Remote Area Nurse to deliver high-quality care in remote communities around Alice Springs, NT. This short-term contract role offers autonomy, collaborative teamwork, and community-focused nursing in home settings.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient education. Benefits include a base rate up to AU$85 per hour, penalties, superannuation, transport

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 2 years in remote or rural healthcare settings.
• Ability to work autonomously outside hospital environment.

Aufgaben

• Develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Provide nursing interventions at patients' homes: wound care, IV therapy, medications, catheter care.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment; intervene as needed.
• Inspect wounds, change dressings, assist with hygiene and grooming.
• Test for muscle weakness, bedsores, and infections.
• Monitor recovery and compile reports for the physician.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Area Nurses for short contracts to provide health care services to remote communities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in underserved areas and capable of working autonomously and with within a dynamic team in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and goals, in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions to patients in their homes, including wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, catheter care, and disease management.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, and intervene as necessary to address acute or chronic health issues.
• Inspecting wounds, changing dressings, and handling personal grooming and hygiene.
• Testing for muscle weakness, bedsores, and any signs of infection.
• Monitoring patient recovery and compiling reports for the physician.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing qualification (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 2 years working in remote or rural healthcare settings
• Ability to work autonomously outside hospital environment
