Rosehill Secondary College is seeking a VCE Information Technology Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team at our Niddrie campus in West Essendon, Victoria. The role focuses on delivering the VCE IT curriculum, preparing students for examinations, and inspiring a passion for technology among Years 7–10.

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with colleagues to strengthen IT education.

Qualifications

Qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education or equivalent and IT/Computing specialization.
Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or eligibility.
Demonstrated expertise in VCE Information Technology curriculum and assessment.
Experience using educational technology tools and learning management systems.
Ability to deliver engaging lessons and manage diverse classrooms.
Strong communication and collaboration within a teaching team.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver VCE Information Technology lessons aligned to VCAA requirements.
Develop teaching resources to support diverse learning needs.
Assess student progress with formative and summative methods and provide feedback.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement.
Prepare students for VCE examinations and practical assessments.
Collaborate on curriculum development for Years 7–10 and share best practices.
Communicate with students, parents and carers regarding progress.
