Job summary

Contour Education is seeking motivated tutors to join our team in Australia. You will teach content and application to groups of 8–20 students, coach study skills and exam strategies, and mentor learners by sharing personal experiences to foster genuine connections.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, English at university level, and a willingness to commit to 6+ classes per week across a full academic year.

Who we are

What you’ll do

You’ll teach a group of students content and application, and help them work through difficult questions:

• Teach – intuitively teach subject content to a full class of 8–20 students
• Coach – study skills and exam strategy
• Mentor – share your own experiences and form genuine connections
• Connect – build relationships that inspire students to keep going

For example, you might teach two classes on Monday and two on Tuesday (4:15–6:15pm and 6:45–8:45pm), plus two on Saturday morning (10:00am–12:00pm and 12:30–2:30pm).

What you’ll bring

• Strong communication and a knack for making hard concepts click
• Knowledge of English at first-year university level or above
• A 99+ ATAR and a 43+ study score in VCE English (highly desirable, not required)
• 6+ classes per week , committed across a full academic year (around 12+ hours weekly)
• Energy, empathy, and a desire to help students
• Alignment with Contour’s mission (non-compete agreement required)
