Job summary

Assetlink is seeking Utility Cleaners for Full Time DIDO roles at one of our mining villages in Orange NSW. You will drive to site daily and return home each night, working to maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents and staff.

Roles offer above award pay and involve housekeeping, cleaning of village facilities, waste management, and flexible shifts. Applicants should be comfortable in a remote setting and able to pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Driver’s Licence (C class preferred)
• National Police Clearance (within last 6 months)
• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping
• Ability to work night shifts if required
• Previous experience in remote locations
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical including drug/alcohol tests
• Physically fit to carry out moderate to heavy duties
• Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)

About Assetlink Village Services:

At Assetlink Village Services (AVS), we do more than manage mining villages, we help create clean, safe, and welcoming environments that support people living and working away from home. Since expanding into the Mining Sector in 2020, AVS has continued to grow across remote Australian locations, and we’re looking for motivated and reliable team members who want to grow with us.

The Roles:

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Utility Cleaners looking for Full Time DIDO employment working at one of our Mining Villages in Orange NSW.

These positions are DIDO Ex Orange commencing ASAP and is paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020 - Level 2

You will be driving to site daily and driving home each night so you must reside in close proximity to Orange OR prepared to move there.

As a Utility All Rounder, you will support multiple areas of village operations to help deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and fellow team members

You will be responsible for:

Role Requirements:

• Current C class NSW Driver’s Licence (Preferred)
• Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
• Experience working in cleaning and / or house keeping
• Ability to work Night shift if required
• Previous experience working within a similar remote location
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging and time-sensitive environment
• Good knowledge of and a commitment to safe working practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol tests (ESSENTIAL)
• Be physically fit to carry out moderate to heavy duties
• Good listening skills and the ability to follow instructions
• Be able to communicate in verbal and written English
