ForHealth Group in Australia is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. You will provide high-quality nursing support for urgent conditions that are not life-threatening, in collaboration with Registered Nurses.

This role offers opportunities to enhance your clinical skills in wound care, plastering, medications administration, and patient education, while working within a supportive, safe, and evolving healthcare model.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Experience in primary care, Emergency Department, or acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, organized clinical environment with admin (Medicare billing, coding, documentation) and clinical care (60%).
• Greet patients, assist with appointments, and maintain registration details for a smooth experience.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses to deliver care for injuries and illnesses.
• Perform clinical tasks including history taking, medication administration, wound care and plastering, and patient education.
• Maintain professional standards and safety within scope and ForHealth policies.
• Support patient guidance using inclusion/exclusion criteria.
• Document clearly to support ongoing treatment and quality care.
• Champion workplace health and safety by reporting hazards and supporting a safe environment.

The Role

We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Urgent Care Service. As a vital team member, you will provide high-quality, safe and efficient nursing support for urgent conditions that are not immediately life threatening. In collaboration with the Registered Nurses (RN), you will focus on ensuring all patients that present to the Urgent Care Service are given the appropriate care. Your Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, organized and efficient clinical environment- keeping the centre compliant, stocked and efficient supporting smooth daily operations. You’ll balance administrative responsibilities (40%) like Medicare billing, accurate coding, and meticulous documentation, with hands-on clinical work (60%) that directly impacts patient care.
• Be the friendly face patients rely on- greeting them warmly, assisting with appointment scheduling, and maintaining up-to-date registration details to ensure the best patient experience.
• Work alongside Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care for injuries and illnesses, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative healthcare setting.
• Perform a variety of clinical care activities- from conducting detailed patient history assessments and administering medications to wound care, plastering and providing our patients with the essential education that empowers their recovery.
• Maintain Professional Standards and Safety- ensuring all care is delivered within your scope of practice and aligns with ForHealth’s polices thus creating a safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Support Patient guidance making sound assessments of inclusion and exclusion criteria.
• Document with precision and care- ensuring a comprehensive, clear and accurate records that support ongoing patient treatment and quality care.
• Champion workplace health and safety by actively participating in safety initiatives, promptly reporting any incidents/hazards whilst fostering a secure and supportive work environment.

About You

• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Must be flexible and available evenings and weekends.
• Meet the minimum experience level in any one of the following:
• 3 years of experience as a Primary Care/General practice nurse OR
• 2 Years of experience in an Emergency Department/ similar setting OR
• 3 years of experience in Medical/Surgical, Orthopaedics or similar acute care areas.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle escalations, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• A passion for patient-centred care and a personable approach.
• You will be required to provide a Working with Children’s check, National Police check if not already obtained and International police check where relevant.
