Job summary

Homebush Boys High School is seeking a Technology and Applied Studies Teacher to inspire TAS students through hands-on, future-focused learning. The role offers two years of supported teaching experience and opportunities to upskill on the job within a welcoming, innovative school community.

Applicants should have approval to teach Engineering Studies and Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8) or be prepared to retrain with NSW Department of Education support. WWCC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Engineering Studies and Technology Mandatory (Years 7 and 8) or preparedness to retrain via on‑the‑job experience supported by the NSW Department of Education.
• Well‑developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Demonstrated capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and deliver engaging, high‑impact lessons that support and promote high expectations for all students, including HPGE learners, EAL/D students and those requiring learning support.
• Demonstrated ability to design, plan and implement curriculum, including differentiated teaching and learning programs, assessment and resource development, aimed at driving improved student learning outcomes.

Responsibilities
