Job summary

Jardan Australia in Scoresby is seeking a dedicated Upholsterer to join our local manufacturing team. You will upholster furniture frames, read drawings, and work across sofas, modular pieces, beds, and stools in a production environment.

You bring hands-on upholstery experience, safe-work practices, good communication, and a team-oriented attitude. The role offers a Monday-Thursday 6:30am-3pm schedule, with Fridays finishing at 12:30pm and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Previous upholstery experience in furniture manufacturing or similar hands-on environments.
  • Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Upholster furniture frames using sewn fabric and leather kits.
  • Assemble sofas, modular sofas, beds, sofa beds, armchairs, ottomans and stools.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions.
  • Process jobs accurately through our production software system.
  • Conduct quality checks and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across manufacturing teams.
  • Comply with safe work practices and procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment and workstations in safe, clean condition.
  • Support continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Assist with stock control and production workflow requirements.

In operation since 1987, every Jardan piece is designed, crafted and assembled at our Production site in Melbourne, retaining skills whilst focusing on a premium made to order process bound by sustainability and quality.

What we are looking for :

We are seeking full time Upholsterers to join our team in Scoresby. The hours of work for this role are Monday to Thursday 6.30am to 3.00pm and Friday 6.30am to 12.30pm. This role has the potential to work additional overtime hours in the afternoon.

Reporting to the Leading Hand, the key responsibilities include:

  • Upholstering furniture frames using sewn fabric and leather kits
  • Assembling sofas, modular sofas, beds, sofa beds, armchairs, ottomans and stools
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and work instructions
  • Processing jobs accurately through our production software system
  • Conducting quality checks and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across manufacturing teams
  • Comply with all safe work practices and procedures
  • Ensure tools, equipment and workstations are maintained in a safe, clean and operational condition
  • Supporting continuous improvement and workplace safety initiatives
  • Assisting with stock control and production workflow requirements
