Your Role

The primary purpose of this role is to cover all aspects of policy processing in the Branch and support the Production and Marketing Manager and Underwriters in the administrative and office co‑ordination tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as entering data into underwriting systems (e.g., Gen Next Portal & Duck Creek) required to track business, issuing policy documentation & standard correspondence, handling accounting queries and working with underwriters on reviewing renewal and new business submissions.

Your Responsibilities
  • Administrative support to the branch, including managing mail/email correspondence and general clerical duties.
  • Prepare pre‑renewal underwriting review, collate underwriting information, ensure appropriate referral and follow up with the relevant account underwriter(s).
  • Build and grow relationships with potential producers (or refer to Branch Underwriters) within appropriate underwriting/risk guidelines.
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders with product and business queries.
  • Work with staff members in other departments to identify cross‑marketing opportunities.
  • Assist in general department matters when required, including coordination of producer functions.
  • Look for process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to management.
  • Handle any other projects as assigned by Team Leader/Manager.
  • Generate reports as and when required.
  • Provide ad‑hoc assistance to Product Managers & Relationship Manager in SA, including collating monthly reports, preparing data out of MIS, preparing occasional PowerPoint presentations, updating CRM – Dynamics, and managing expenses.

  • Understanding of the insurance industry and Chubb's position in the market.
Desirable
  • Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of commercial insurance products.
  • Comprehensive and demonstrable knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting guidelines.
  • Australian Insurance Institute qualifications or equivalent experience (or desire to achieve same).
