Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking an experienced trainer and assessor to deliver and verify competency-based training in our underground mining operation.
You will develop training packages, VOC programs, and coach underground personnel to strengthen safety culture and operational capability for our growing operation near Western Australia.
Catalyst Metals Limited owns and operates the Plutonic Gold Mine, located in the Eastern Gascoyne region of Western Australia. The operation continues to expand underground, with several mining areas successfully transitioning from development into production.
Catalyst is committed to building a sustainable, long-life gold business, underpinned by disciplined technical planning, operational excellence, and a focus on continuous improvement.
Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: CYL), Catalyst Metals is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.
Reporting to the OHSET Manager, you'll play a critical role in building workforce capability across our underground operation. Working closely with operational leaders and crews, you'll be responsible for delivering practical, field-based training, maintaining competency frameworks and verifying that personnel have the skills and knowledge to perform their roles safely and effectively.
This is not a classroom-based training position. We're looking for experienced underground mining professionals who are confident working at the job face, coaching operators in real time and embedding safe work practices where they have the greatest impact. Through hands‑on mentoring, competency assessments and continuous improvement of our training systems, you'll help strengthen our safety culture while supporting the long‑term success of a growing underground operation.
If you are a qualified trainer and assessor with a strong underground mining background, and you're passionate about developing people and lifting safety standards where it matters most—in the field—this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Departing from Perth, you'll fly directly to site, arriving within 90 minutes of departure. Once onsite, you'll be accommodated in a well‑established camp with Wi‑Fi, gym, pool and recreational facilities.
