Job summary

Harmony Australasia seeks a Mining Engineer for the CSA Mine in Cobar, NSW. The role is onsite with an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane or Sydney, focusing on planning, monitoring and optimising underground mining operations.

You will develop drill and blast plans, design stopes, support daily to monthly mine planning, and work closely with technical and operational teams to meet safety and production targets.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in mining engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in underground hard rock mining is essential.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with a team.
• Exposure to mine planning software (Deswik, Surpac) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement drill and blast plans.
• Stope design, optimisation and reconciliation.
• Provide technical input into daily, weekly, and monthly mine plans.
• Monitor development and production performance.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure plan compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
