Job summary

Redpath is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic to join the Cannington operation in Queensland. You will work on underground mining equipment within a high-performance team and contribute to reliable mining operations.

You’ll perform scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs, diagnose faults, and ensure compliance with safety standards, while maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment. This role supports long-term career growth within Redpath’s global family.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Diesel Fitter or Mechanic.
• Experience with underground mining equipment preferred (Sandvik).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Valid manual driver's license.
• First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs on underground plant.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs or component replacements.
• Ensure equipment compliance with site and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
