Gatton Tyre Service is seeking a Tyre Fitter/Service Fitter to join our team in Gatton, QLD. This is a casual position offering flexibility for the right candidate. As a Tyre Fitter/Service Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, balancing, and maintaining tyres whilst ensuring our customers receive exceptional service. This role is pivotal to our daily operations, allowing us to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation for quality automotive service in the Gatton region.

Key responsibilities

Fitting and removing tyres from a variety of vehicles using industry-standard equipment

Balancing tyres to specification and ensuring proper alignment

Performing routine vehicle maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups

Conducting basic vehicle inspections and identifying potential safety issues

Maintaining accurate records of all work completed and parts used

Ensuring the work area is kept clean, tidy, and organised in accordance with health and safety standards

Providing excellent customer service and communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle requirements

Assisting with stock management

What we're looking for

A confident fitter to work alone servicing farmer/ Truck customers alone with road side assistance when required.

Current or previous experience as a Tyre Fitter, Service Fitter, or similar automotive trade position

Demonstrated knowledge of tyre fitting, balancing, and vehicle maintenance procedures

Proficiency in using tyre fitting equipment and workshop machinery safely and effectively

Competency in reading and interpreting vehicle specifications and tyre sizing information

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Current driver's licence and reliable transport to the Gatton location

Knowledge of health and safety procedures in an automotive workshop environment
