Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a hands-on trade-qualified Fitter or A-grade Electrician to join the Mt Gellibrand Wind Farm near Colac. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance across 44 turbines delivering up to 132 MW of clean energy, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The roster includes a 7am-3:30pm shift on Monday and 7am-3pm Tuesday to Friday, with a 1:3 daytime callout requirement. You will work with a skilled crew and contribute to reliability and continuous improvement,

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Mechanical trade qualification or A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Experience in wind, energy, or similar industry.
• Safety-focused with ability to work in a team.
• Current driver’s licence and basic computer skills.
• Commitment to ongoing qualification upkeep (First Aid, Working at Heights).

This role is to provide preventative and corrective maintenance to all infrastructure associated with a generating wind farm including wind turbines, high voltage reticulation, communication networks, auxiliary systems and site services.

We’re on the lookout for a hands-on trade-qualifiedFitter or A grade Electrician to join our tight-knit team at the Mt Gellibrand Windfarm(near Colac). You’ll be working across 44 turbines that generate up to 132 MW of clean, renewable energy-keeping them running safely and efficiently.

• Maintenance- Routine and emergency maintenance on wind turbines, HV systems, and site infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs- Fault finding and fixing issues to reduce downtime.
• Safety First- Follow all safety procedures and help build a strong safety culture.
• Teamwork- Work closely with your crew and contribute to continuous improvement.

_Roster: Monday: 7 am - 3.30pm, Tuesday to Friday: 7 AM - 3 PM. You will be part of a 1:3 callout roster (daytime only unless it's a substation emergency). _

Required Skills and Competencies

• Hold a valid Mechanical trade qualification and/or A Grade Electrical Licence

• Experience in industry (wind, manufacturing, power, mining, oil & gas etc.)

• Enjoy working closely with a suitably qualified trade partner, supporting each other to get the job done safely and efficiently
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
• Maintain a current driver’s license
• Ability to maintain qualifications relevant to the industry, including: First Aid Level 2, Working at Heights, Operator under ACCIONA Energy Work Permitting system.
• In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW). Privileged Access Workers (PAW's) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona's Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.
