Job summary

Brisbane Access is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in QLD. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of our equipment across south east Queensland, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining professionalism.

This full-time role requires a valid HC/HR licence, a clean driving history and strong knowledge of transport regulations. You will plan routes, perform inspections and work closely with dispatch to meet schedules and maintain high service quality.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HC or HR licence.
• Proven safe driving record with minimal infringements or penalties.
• Knowledge of road transport regulations and fatigue management laws.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dispatch and customers.
• Ability to plan routes and perform vehicle checks and daily maintenance.

As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of our equipment across south east QLD, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. This role is integral to our operations and directly contributes to our reputation for reliable and quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant road laws and company policies
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
• Plan and execute efficient routes to meet delivery schedules and customer expectations
• Load, secure and unload machines
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere strictly to speed limits, traffic regulations and workplace health and safety requirements
• Report any vehicle defects, accidents or safety concerns promptly to management
• Maintain a professional demeanour with customers and represent Brisbane Access positively at all times

What we’re looking for

• Valid Heavy Rigid or Heavy Combination (HC) driver’s licence prefered
• Proven track record of safe driving with a clean or minimal infringement history
• Comprehensive knowledge of road transport regulations, fatigue management laws and workplace safety standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks safely
• Reliability and commitment to punctuality
• Proficiency in basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
• Preferably, experience with digital logbook systems and GPS navigation technology
