Job summary

Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a Treasury Operations Analyst for a 6-month contract in Sydney. You will be part of a fast-paced finance team focusing on cash management, payments and reconciliations across APAC markets.

Key responsibilities include managing daily cash positions, processing payments, performing Nostro reconciliations, and supporting client money processes. The role requires strong attention to detail and effective stakeholder communication in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Treasury Operations, Banking Operations or a similar financial markets environment.
• Experience with daily cash management processes.
• Strong reconciliation experience, particularly Nostro or bank reconciliations.
• Experience with payments and settlements.
• Exposure to FX settlements and/or Money Market products.
• Knowledge of client money processes and regulations.
• Understanding of payment systems, including SWIFT.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily cash positions across APAC bank accounts
• Processing and monitoring payments, including exchange, broker, counterparty and client payments
• Performing daily and monthly bank and Nostro reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Managing FX settlements and reconciling FX balances
• Reconciling term deposits and non-cash collateral
• Supporting client money reconciliations and related processes
• Setting up and maintaining client settlement instructions
• Working closely with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve payment and cash management queries
• Supporting wider Operations activities when required
• Understanding cash flows between back-office systems and the General Ledger and their impact on liquidity
