MANAWISE Care Pty Ltd is expanding its Residential Care services across Mackay. We are seeking dedicated Youth Workers for permanent part-time roles, with at least 56 hours per fortnight.

Join a growing organisation that values stability and strong relationships, offering ongoing training and development. You will support youths in North Queensland residential homes, providing a safe, nurturing environment and helping them build resilience and life skills.

Formación

• Experience in Youth Work or related field.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (open class) is required.
• Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or working towards it) and a current Blue Card are required.

Responsabilidades

• Create a safe, stable, and supportive home environment for young people with complex needs.
• Build positive professional relationships that foster trust and growth.
• Support young people through challenging behaviours and emotional situations.
• Apply trauma-informed practices to promote wellbeing, resilience and outcomes.
• Encourage independence by helping young people develop practical life and social skills.
• Respond calmly to incidents, conflict and crisis situations.
• Work with care team to implement individualised support plans.
• Maintain accurate case notes and incident reports.
• Model positive behaviours and healthy boundaries.
• Contribute to a strong team culture through teamwork and learning.
