Job summary

Multiquip Poultry is seeking a Transport Supervisor to oversee daily BFG and TUG operations at our Murarrie site in Brisbane. You will coordinate runs, provide direction to drivers, and ensure safety, compliance, and efficient service delivery.

The role involves tug driving duties, liaising with plant personnel and customers, and maintaining records. A HC/MC licence and hands-on leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hands-on team in agriculture or logistics.
• Valid HC/MC licence required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to perform tug driving duties and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily BFG and TUG operations.
• Provide day-to-day direction and support to drivers and team members.
• Coordinate driver runs, workloads, trailer movements and shift coverage.
• Ensure compliance with safety, CoR, HVNL, animal welfare and company requirements.
• Monitor driver performance and address operational or conduct issues.
• Respond to and report hazards, incidents, spills and safety concerns.
• Monitor vehicles and equipment and coordinate servicing and repairs.
• Maintain accurate operational, training and maintenance records.
• Liaise with customers, Processing Plant personnel and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
• Undertake tug driving duties as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and service delivery.

The BFG & Tug Transport Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating operations at the Murarrie site, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable service delivery. The role provides hands‑on support to the BFG and TUG teams at the Inghams Plant, including tug driving duties as required.

About the Role

The BFG & Tug Transport Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations and support the BFG and TUG teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient service delivery, while promptly addressing operational, safety and equipment issues.

Your day‑to‑day will include:

• Oversee and coordinate daily BFG and TUG operations.
• Provide day‑to‑day direction and support to drivers and team members.
• Coordinate driver runs, workloads, trailer movements and shift coverage.
• Ensure compliance with safety, CoR, HVNL, animal welfare and Company requirements.

What You’ll Need

• HC or MC driver’s licence (required)
• Proven experience leading a team in a hands‑on role (agriculture, logistics, or similar)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Willingness to comply with PPE, hygiene, and biosecurity protocols
• (Note: You must not keep live poultry, avian species, or pigs at your residence)
