Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group is seeking a Transport Planner/Engineer or Senior Transport Planner/Engineer to join our team in Brisbane, the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast. You will work on a diverse range of projects that shape how people move, connect and access opportunities across Queensland and Australia.

You'll be part of a high-performing transport advisory team delivering practical, innovative mobility solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients on public and private

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a transport-related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with transport planning and traffic studies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and delivery of transport and traffic strategies and programs.
• Support complex transport studies, operational assessments and corridor planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions for clients.
• Assist in planning, analysis and delivery to improve mobility and transport outcomes for communities.

Your role

As part of our high-performing Transport Advisory team, you'll work on a broad range of projects and play an active role in delivering practical and innovative transport solutions. Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to the development and delivery of transport and traffic strategies, policies and programs.
• Supporting complex transport studies, operational assessments, network performance analysis and corridor planning and business cases.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across AtkinsRéalis to develop integrated solutions and provide trusted advice to clients.
• Assisting in the planning, analysis and delivery of projects that improve mobility, accessibility and transport outcomes for communities.
• Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
• Contributing to the preparation of high-quality technical reports, presentations and project.

About you

• You're a motivated and enthusiastic transport professional who enjoys solving complex problems, working collaboratively and making a positive impact through the projects you deliver.
• A degree in Transport Engineering, Civil Engineering, Transport Planning or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in transport planning, traffic engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Experience contributing to transport strategies, mobility plans, traffic assessments or transport infrastructure projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear technical reports and engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and the ability to work successfully both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• A genuine passion for creating innovative, sustainable and people-focused transport solutions.
