Quick Overview of the role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator to join our Manufacturing facility based in Currumbin. You will manage and support all Drivers/Transport to ensure all company and customer deliveries are successful, as well as manage the driver roster and regularly liaise with customers to troubleshoot queries and issues. This role is a full-time permanent position with ideal working hours from 6am Monday-Friday.

What will you be doing?

  • Allocate daily orders to ensure we meet customers' time and expectation.
  • Organise, maintain, and coordinate the driver roster to allocate daily driver runs.
  • Ensure safe loading procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Regular communication with customers to ensure no internal/ external demurrage is facilitated.
  • Liaise with Drivers to ensure timely distribution of product, ensure drivers are returning all the dunnage and completing appropriate paperwork.
  • Liaise with Production Planning and Bar production to prioritise status of loads.
  • Organise the delivery of any customer return products.
  • Meet the chain of responsibility, compliance, and all transport legislation.
  • Manage customer calls and transport queries and issues.

  • Relevant experience and understanding of transport coordination
  • Experience building efficient runs for drivers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with fantastic phone etiquette.
  • Strong administration skills and competency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinker, strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think on feet.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, senior management, customers and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to work as part of the team and contribute effectively to achieve department goals.
