Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Allocator to join our team at Fisherman’s Island, QLD. In this role, you will plan and coordinate the efficient movement of containers between the yard, terminal, and road operations. You will ensure optimal use of resources, compliance with safety and transport regulations, and timely delivery of services. Working closely with drivers and operational teams, you will play a key role in maintaining productivity, safety, and service excellence across daily transport activities.

We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the inhouse ITV driver team.
  • Plan and schedule container movements, including stack runs, imports, and exports.
  • Lead, support, and maintain driver productivity to meet service level requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with CoR, NHVR, fatigue management, and all safety regulations.
  • Allocate appropriate equipment and plan jobs based on load and weight requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to company and legislative HSE standards.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • 3+ year’s experience in a transport or logistics-related role.
  • Proven experience in driver allocation, data entry, and customer service.
  • Solid understanding of transport systems, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and professional responses.
  • Sound understanding of truck and trailer combinations and operational requirements.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and customer satisfaction.
