Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors in Australia seeks a senior specialist for Fund Operations to provide oversight of the Australian unit registry model and support local stakeholders and service-provider relationships. You will collaborate with regional teams as part of a global Transfer Agency function to optimize local expertise.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years hands-on experience in funds management unit registry and client servicing functions.
• Experience managing outsourced unit registry services with best practice knowledge across systems and processes.
• RG146 compliant with broad understanding of Australian managed investment schemes’ operating framework, regulatory obligations and industry standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-centric mindset.
• Solid judgement, logical problem-solving ability and a commitment to continuously improving services, processes and operating models.
• Ability to work across global teams and time zones building relationships with colleagues outside Australia and leveraging a global model where practical.
• High attention to detail, commitment to meeting deadlines and sense of urgency in resolving issues for clients.
• Project management skills and experience in driving small to medium projects relevant to the unit registry function.
• Experience in influencing and mentoring colleagues.
• Alignment with Janus Henderson Investors’ mission, values and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a close relationship with our service provider working in partnership to deliver consistently high service to our clients
• Support internal stakeholders across our Client Product Group representing institutional and intermediary clients
• Identify and drive change initiatives to optimize our operating model balancing local obligations with global capabilities
• Carry out other duties as assigned

Your opportunity

You will be the senior specialist within Australia Fund Operations, providing broad oversight of the Australian unit registry operating model and supporting local stakeholders, clients and service-provider relationships. You will work closely with colleagues in other regions as part of a global Transfer Agency function optimizing local expertise and leveraging global synergies.

Must have skills

• At least 10 years hands-on experience in funds management unit registry and client servicing functions
• Demonstrated ability in managing all aspects of outsourced services with unit registry providers with ‘best practice’ knowledge across systems and processes
• RG146 compliant with broad understanding of Australian managed investment schemes’ operating framework, regulatory obligations and industry standards
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-centric mindset
• Solid judgement, logical problem-solving ability and a commitment to continuously improving services, processes and operating models

Nice to have skills

• Familiarity with Australian AML/CTF requirements, investor onboarding processes, ongoing monitoring and escalation governance
• Experience supporting fund launches, transitions, RFP activity, service provider changes, and significant transformation initiatives
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a close-knit Fund Operations team, with a willingness to support colleagues and assist where needed.
