Job summary

Brighton College is seeking a suitably qualified Trainer and Assessor to deliver and assess nationally recognised vocational qualifications within the Management training stream. The role focuses on high-quality delivery, compliant assessment practices, and strong student support as required by the VET Quality Framework and ESOS Act.

The position includes full-time ongoing work at a central Brisbane CBD campus, offering professional development and ongoing industry currency support to staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least three years of relevant experience delivering or assessing vocational education or adult learning.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
• Sound knowledge of the VET Quality Framework, assessment requirements, and compliance obligations.
• Strong communication, organisational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training and assessment in accordance with approved training and assessment strategies and block schedules.
• Provide leadership and coordination for the allocated management training stream.
• Contextualise and maintain training and assessment resources to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Conduct assessments, reassessments, and provide clear, compliant feedback to students.
• Support students to meet assessment requirements and course progression timelines.
• Manage and monitor student attendance, participation, and engagement.
• Maintain accurate training, assessment, and compliance records.
• Participate in validation, moderation, audits, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with the VET Quality Framework, RTO Standards, ESOS Act, and National Code.
• Collaborate with trainers, compliance staff, and management as required.
