A major transport provider in New South Wales is seeking Trainee Train Drivers to undergo a paid 12-month training program. You’ll develop essential skills to safely operate trains and manage a variety of work scenarios with ongoing support from experienced team members. This in-person role requires a willingness to commit to a demanding training schedule, including weekends and study outside of training hours. While the path to becoming a Train Driver is dynamic and rewarding, our Trainee program also reflects the work conditions and personal commitment it takes to help Sydney Trains run its network 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your training schedule will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. You’ll need to be willing to take on extra study outside of your training schedule to prepare for ongoing assessments.
We’re looking for candidates keen to learn the ropes of becoming a Train Driver who are prepared to commit to a demanding training schedule and further study to achieve program learning outcomes.
