Job summary

Queensland X-Ray seeks a Toowoomba-based Trainee Sonographer for 2027 commencement. The role offers paid, full-time training with rotations across hospital and community imaging settings.

You will be trained by experienced sonographers, with a pathway to on-call duties and potential productivity bonuses after 1 year post-qualification. A Bachelor of Medical Imaging (or equivalent) and one year post-graduation experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a health-related bachelor’s degree and eligibility for entry into a post-graduate Ultrasound course.
• At least one year of post-graduation work experience in health/imaging.
• Strong work ethic with self-direction and excellent patient care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through multiple imaging practices to gain broad exposure to patient studies.
• Part of a weekend shift roster at hospital sites as part of the program.
• Post-qualification, join the on-call roster with potential productivity-based bonus eligibility.
