Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trainee Radiographic Assistant Practitioner to support clinical radiography across sections under supervision. You will perform radiographic duties according to protocols and participate in department activities under guidance from senior radiographers.

• Perform clinical radiographic duties as delegated by the Superintendent Radiographer, following agreed protocols.
• Participate in the assistant practitioner rotation across sites.
• Perform radiographic duties according to protocol under supervision, ensuring x-ray films are checked by a radiographer.
• Participate in planned out-of-hours departmental work.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team working.
• Ensure effective communication with patients, carers and health professionals about patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation for examinations.
• Perform health care assistant duties where relevant.

Trainee Radiographic Assistant Practitioner

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Performance of clinical radiographic duties as delegated by the Superintendent Radiographer in each section and according to agreed protocols.
• Participate in the assistant practitioner rotation across the sites.
• To perform radiographic duties according to protocol, and to be supervised by a qualified member of the radiographic team ensuring that all x-ray films are checked by a qualified member of the radiographic team.
• To participate in departmental planned out of hours working.
• To participate in multi-disciplinary team working.
• To ensure effective communication with patients, carers and all health care professionals about all aspects of patient care.
• To maintain accurate documentation pertinent to the examination.
• To perform health care assistant duties where relevant.
