Job summary

Pacific National in Rockhampton is seeking a Train Crew Development Specialist to lead development and training of train crews, ensuring safe and professional rail operations. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will plan, deliver and assess compliant driver training, develop individual training plans and mentor staff to meet Rail Safety Worker competency requirements.

You will work with Operational Leaders and Training Specialists to ensure consistent outcomes, promote a strong safety culture

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritise and deliver compliant technical driver training.
• Develop and manage individual training plans aligned to operational needs.
• Implement and deliver training plans, training sessions and assessment activities.
• Train, assess and mentor train crew to meet Rail Safety Worker competency requirements.
• Ensure competencies, assessments, currency and records are completed on time.
• Work closely with Operational Leaders and Training Specialists to ensure consistent outcomes.
• Promote a strong safety culture and knowledge-sharing environment.

An opportunity has presented itself for Train Crew Development Specialist to join our team in Rockhampton.

What You'll Do

Support the development, training and assessment of train crew to ensure safe and professional rail operations.

Reporting to the Superintendent you will:

• Plan, prioritise and deliver compliant technical driver training

What You'll Bring

• Current accreditation as a Locomotive Driver with Cert IV in Train Driving
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment
• Strong track record of safely operating locomotives
• Proven experience coaching, mentoring, influencing and motivating others
• Ability to enhance and contribute to a strong team culture
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels
