Job summary

Legal Aid NSW is recruiting four Graduate Solicitors to start March 2027 as part of the Judge Bob Bellear Aboriginal Legal Career Pathways Program. You will undertake two structured placements in Civil, Family, and/or Criminal Law with hands-on casework and direct supervision from experienced solicitors, gaining real advocacy skills.

You'll be part of a culturally safe workplace with offices across NSW, and you may be placed near your community.

Qualifications

• Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be able to demonstrate Aboriginality in your application.
• Be willing to undertake a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Have legal qualifications and be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful legal work and advocacy to clients across Civil, Family and/or Criminal Law.
• Receive structured placements with hands-on casework and direct supervision from experienced solicitors.
• Develop skills through the Judge Bob Bellear Aboriginal Legal Career Pathways Program and grow into a capable solicitor.
