Job summary

Wilkz Group is seeking a Traffic Signal Civil Labourer for night shifts to support civil works on traffic signal and ITS/CCTV installations. The role works with experienced civil and electrical crews, with occasional day shifts when projects allow.

Applicants should have a valid unrestricted driver's licence, be available for regular night shifts Sunday to Thursday, and live within a 30-minute drive of the Dural/Glenorie yard.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted driver’s licence required.
• Night shifts: Sunday to Thursday (regular) in NSW.
• HR licence preferred.
• Concrete pouring/finishing experience highly regarded.

• Excavation support and trenching.
• Conduit and pit installation.
• Backfilling, compaction and reinstatement.
• Concrete pouring and finishing for footings, ramps, kerb tie-ins, pits and pads.
• Moving materials, preparing work areas and keeping the site organised.
• Assisting civil and electrical crews as work progresses.
• Responding to changing priorities during a shift and assisting where needed.

Job description

Traffic Signal Civil Labourer Night Shift

You will assist across the civil works associated with Traffic Signal and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)/CCTV installations. This is primarily a night-shift role working with experienced civil and electrical crews. Day shifts may be available where project conditions allow, including works behind barriers on Tier 1 and Tier 2 sites.

Key responsibilities

Excavation support and trenching

Conduit and pit installation

Backfilling, compaction and reinstatement

Concrete pouring and finishing for footings, pram ramps, kerb tie-ins, in-situ pits and concrete pads

Moving materials, preparing work areas and keeping the site organised

Assisting civil and electrical crews as work progresses

Responding to changing priorities throughout a shift and assisting wherever needed within your training, competency and site requirements

About you

Unrestricted driver's licence (essential)

Availability for regular night shifts Sunday to Thursday, inclusive (essential)

Ability to reliably attend the Dural/Glenorie meeting point, living within approximately 30 minutes drive of the yard (essential)

HR licence (preferred)

Concrete pouring and finishing experience (highly regarded)
