Job summary

Go Traffic is seeking a Traffic Controller for Shepparton, Echuca and Moama to implement safe traffic management schemes and maintain TMP compliance. You will manage pedestrian and vehicle flow around worksites while ensuring safety for workers and road users.

Role requires a Victorian TM qualification (TC1/TMI1+), a valid driver's license and a construction white card. Company-provided radios and modern equipment support daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Victorian Traffic management qualification equivalent (TC1 and TMI1 or above).
• Driver's license held and valid.
• White Card or CICWH for construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain traffic management schemes per TMPs and regulations.
• Control pedestrian/vehicle traffic around worksites to protect the public and workers.
• Operate traffic management vehicles, arrow boards, VMS boards and related gear safely.
• Complete site documentation including SH&E/WMS, reports, and incident records.
• Conduct vehicle pre-start checks and keep equipment and signage in good condition.
• Attend toolbox talks and assist with on-site safety and incident response.

About the role:

Implement and maintain traffic management schemes, signage, and safety controls in accordance with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), regulations, and company procedures.

Control pedestrian and vehicle traffic safely around worksites while ensuring the safety of workers, road users, clients, and the public.

Operate company vehicles, towing equipment, arrow boards, VMS boards, and traffic management equipment safely and efficiently.

Complete site documentation accurately, including SH&EWMS, job reports, compliance records, and incident reporting.

Conduct vehicle pre-start inspections, load and unload traffic management equipment, and maintain vehicles and signage in a clean and serviceable condition.

Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements, report hazards and incidents, and participate in toolbox meetings, site inspections, and emergency call-outs as required.
