Skilled HVAC Tradesperson wanted – make a difference in public healthcare infrastructure!

Permanent full-time opportunity based at Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals within Metro South Health’s Maintenance Services team. Use your HVAC trade expertise to keep essential hospital systems running safely and efficiently across Queensland’s world-class public health network.

Your new role:

As a HVAC Tradesperson, you'll maintain and repair hospital infrastructure that supports patient care. Based at Logan and/or Beaudesert Hospitals, you'll be part of a skilled team ensuring Metro South Health facilities remain safe, efficient and reliable by:

  • Performing planned and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, plant and equipment.
  • Installing, repairing and maintaining mechanical systems across hospital sites.
  • Investigating and resolving technical issues effectively and safely.
  • Managing costs, materials, contractors and schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to minimise disruption to hospital operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety, procurement and legislative requirements.

About you:

A qualified HVAC tradesperson, you take pride in quality work and teamwork, bringing strong technical skills and a proactive mindset with:

  • A Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent trade qualification).
  • Current Restricted Electrical Licence, Arctick Licence and White Card.
  • Proven experience maintaining and servicing large-scale mechanical/HVAC systems.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards and safety legislation.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise tasks, manage contractors and deliver quality outcomes independently.
  • A current C class driver's licence and willingness to work across multiple Metro South Health sites.
