Job summary

UGL is seeking motivated Trades Assistants for the Orica outage at Kooragang Island, Newcastle NSW. Work includes 11-hour shifts from Monday to Saturday for about 6 weeks, with day or night options.

A competitive remuneration package is on offer and opportunities to contribute to ongoing projects in 2027. Required tickets include White Card, Drivers Licence, Work at Heights, Confined Space, and Gas Test Atmosphere (within 3 years).

Qualifications

• White Card and valid driver’s licence are mandatory.
• Safety tickets including Work at Heights, Confined Space and Gas Test Atmosphere must be current.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team on outage projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist trades on outage works at Orica site.
• Help maintain safety and keep work areas clean and organized.

UGL industrial and resource division are seeking motivated Trades Assistants to join us for the Orica (Kooragang Island Newcastle NSW) 2026 Outage.

On offer we have:

• Work commencing 8 October




• Approx 6 weeks work




• 11-hour shifts – Monday to Saturday

• Strong Portfolio of work in 2027 – we have projects commencing Feb 2027

Qualification and Tickets Required
