Job summary

Becks Mitre 10 Launceston, part of Mitre 10 and Metcash, is seeking a Trade Manager to lead the day-to-day trade operations, drive performance, and develop the team.

You will manage rostering, inventory, transport coordination and safety culture, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced hardware environment. Applicants with supervisory retail experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising retail or trade departments.
• Hands-on leadership style with coaching ability.
• Experience with rosters, stock and transport.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in hardware or building supplies desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the trade department.
• Support trade sales while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Prepare team rosters and oversee workforce planning.
• Coach and develop team members to build capability and performance.
• Work with Transport Manager to support delivery operations.
• Oversee inventory management and stock flow processes.
• Promote safe work practices and safety culture.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
