Job summary

Haynes People is recruiting for experienced Trades Assistants / Assemblers to join a leading manufacturer of transportable buildings in Paget, Australia. You will work in a busy production environment, assisting in fabrication, assembly and fit-out of buildings.

Role includes reading drawings, using hand and power tools, and maintaining safety standards. Competitive hourly rates, weekday roster with overtime and potential Saturday work, and immediate start on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or assembly.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Experience interpreting measurements and drawings.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Good physical fitness and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fabrication, assembly and fit-out of transportable buildings.
• Support welding and fabrication activities.
• Assist installation of flooring, doors, windows, fixtures and fittings.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Handle materials and prepare completed buildings for transport.
• Help maintain quality, safety and housekeeping standards.

Haynes is currently recruiting for experienced Trades Assistants / Assemblers to join a leading manufacturer of quality transportable buildings based in Paget. These hands-on workshop roles offer excellent hourly rates, stable hours and the opportunity to secure ongoing employment with a respected local employer.

Working within a busy production environment, you will assist in the fabrication, assembly and fit-out of transportable buildings. Duties may include:

• Steel fabrication activities including measuring, cutting, grinding, drilling and welding assistance.
• Assembly and installation of flooring, doors, windows, fixtures and fittings.
• Installation and finishing of insulated wall and roof panels, trims and flashings.
• Safe use of hand and power tools.
• Material handling, staging and preparation of completed buildings for transport.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

• Attractive flat rates of $50-$55 per hour based on experience.

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, assembly or a similar environment.

• Good physical fitness and manual handling capability.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Welding and fabrication experience highly regarded.
