Job summary

Pructon is seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our site-based team for the Upper South Creek AWRC project in Kemps Creek, Sydney. You will operate hand and power tools, assist with installation of mechanical plant, piping and structural steel, and support tradespeople on site.

Required certifications include Working at Heights (WAH) and Confined Space; EWP and Telehandler are preferred. The role is full-time with potential Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Experience on major construction sites.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical installation and use of tools.
• Ability to lift and perform physically demanding tasks.
• WAH and Confined Space certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools to support site tasks.
• Assist installation of mechanical plant, piping and structural steel.
• Spot WA H and Confined Space tasks when on site.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
• Support tradespeople with duties as required.

About The Role

Due to exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our site-based team for the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (AWRC) project – a significant initiative by Sydney Water, located in Kemps Creek, Western Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Hand and power tools operations.
• Installation of mechanical plant, piping and structural steel.
• Spotting WAH and confined space tasks.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Willing to continuously assist tradesman with their duties.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience on major construction sites.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical installation and familiarity with tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, drilling, and grinding.
• Working at Heights (WAH) and Confined Space certifications (required).
• EWP and Telehandler certifications (preferred but not essential).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
