Job summary

HVACR Group is seeking a practical Trade Assistant to support beer systems, refrigeration and service operations across South East Queensland. The role includes field work as well as warehouse operations, parts picking and deliveries.

Mechanically minded, dependable and organised candidates who follow safety procedures will succeed. A current driver’s licence is required and occasional travel to customer sites and hotels, pubs, clubs and other commercial venues is expected.

Qualifications

• Mechanically minded and able to work hands-on.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with a can-do attitude.
• Able to follow procedures and maintain neat, organised work areas.
• Willing to travel to sites and drive to customer locations.
• Comfortable working in commercial environments such as hotels, pubs, clubs and restaurants.
• Current driver’s licence is required.

• Assist with glycol and beverage system work.

• Receive, organise and maintain stock in the warehouse.
• Deliver parts, materials and equipment to technicians and customer sites.
• Collect parts and equipment from suppliers.
• Identify and report basic faults.

Key responsibilities

Cleaning and maintaining commercial beer systems

Beer line cleaning and associated preventative maintenance

Cleaning commercial ice machines

Assisting with glycol and beverage system work

Assisting qualified tradespeople with refrigeration and other service work

Picking and preparing parts and equipment for technicians and jobs

Receiving, organising and maintaining stock in the warehouse

Delivering parts, materials and equipment to technicians and customer sites

Collecting parts and equipment from suppliers

Basic fault identification and reporting

About you

Mechanically minded, dependable, organised and comfortable doing hands-on work

Work safely and follow procedures

Able to work independently once trained

Keep the warehouse and work areas organised

Take care with parts, equipment and customer property

Communicate clearly when identifying a problem

Comfortable driving around South East Queensland delivering parts and attending sites

Comfortable working in hotels, pubs, clubs, restaurants and other commercial environments

Current driver's licence required

Experience in commercial beer systems, beer line cleaning, glycol systems, commercial ice machines, hospitality equipment maintenance, refrigeration or HVAC trade assistance, warehousing, parts picking or deliveries, preventative maintenance or commercial field service highly regarded
