Job summary

DFP Planning Pty Ltd is seeking a Project Planner or Senior Project Planner to contribute to shaping the built form and environment of NSW. You will work in a supportive team to handle Planning Applications, Proposals and provide planning advice to government and private sector clients.

Qualifications

• Tertiary town planning qualifications and eligibility for Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) membership.
• At least 2 years’ experience in NSW town planning with a planning consultancy, local council or state government (Senior: 3–5 years).
• Understanding of the EP&A Act and NSW planning system.
• Good time management and ability to work within budgets and deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated creative problem solving; valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assess Planning Applications.
• Prepare Planning Proposals and related assessments.
• Provide Planning Advice to clients and teams.

Your Role

As a Project Planner or Senior Project Planner you will have the opportunity to work on projects within a supportive team environment including:

• Planning Applications;


• Planning Proposals; and


• Planning Advice.

We will assist you to build your career, develop areas of interest, form client relationships and generate new business.

Your Capabilities

As a Project Planner or Senior Project Planner you will:

• Have tertiary town planning qualifications and be a member of, or be eligible for membership to, the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA);


• Have at least 2 years’ experience in town planning in NSW with a town planning consultancy, local council or state government (or at least 3-5 years experience for the Senior Project Planner role);


• Have an understanding of the EP&A Act and associated legislation and the NSW planning system;


• Have good time management and the ability to work within set budgets and manage deadlines;


• Have good verbal and written communication skills;


• Demonstrate creative problem solving abilities; and


• Hold a current driver’s licence.
