Job summary

The Australian Wine Tour Company in Melbourne is seeking reliable guides to run day tours to the Yarra Valley. You will lead groups of about 24, drive 22–25 seat vans, and host engaging wine-tasting education at multiple wineries.

Expected hours are from 8:15am to 5:30pm with restaurant lunch provided daily. A friendly, bubbly personality and weekend availability are essential for success in this seasonal role.

Qualifications

• Public speaking ability with clear communication to groups.
• Good driving experience with a valid Victorian licence.
• Recent driver’s certificate and clean driving record.
• Well presented and customer-focused.
• Knowledge of Yarra Valley is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of about 24 on day tours from Melbourne to Yarra Valley.
• Operate 22–25 seat vehicles and manage pick-up in Melbourne.
• Coordinate experiences at up to 4 wineries and present wine topics.
• Interact with winery staff and ensure a safe return to Melbourne.
• Present on wine tasting, wine making and grape production.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness for next day service.

As we are coming into a busy spring, summer, autumn period we are looking for reliable, entertaining guides, with good driving experience. Yarra Valley knowledge is important but not essential. Enjoy your working day educating and entertaining with your fun, bright and bubbly personality.

About the role

The Australian Wine Tour Company, established in 1998, are looking for individuals to facilitate day tours to the Yarra Valley from Melbourne. You will lead groups of approximately 24 people per day whilst delivering a fun and educational program. The day consists of driving 22-25 seat vehicles with customer pick up in Melbourne, ticket processing, driving to Yarra Valley, coordinating customer experience at up to 4 wineries, including presentations on wine tasting, wine making and grape production, communicating with winery staff, safe return of passengers and vehicles back to Melbourne, and cleaning the vehicle inside and out ready for next day service. Hours are approximately 8:15am to 5:30pm with restaurant lunch included and other breaks throughout the day.

About you
