Job summary

Join DCC Industry Group as an Occupational Therapist in Toowoomba, providing therapy services to children and adults within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. You will support families to understand the NDIS, conduct assessments, plan and evaluate therapy programs, and contribute to holistic client outcomes.

The role offers supervision, mentorship, professional development, and flexible service delivery modes including in-clinic, in-home, community-based and telehealth options.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA Registration
• 2+ years' experience as a registered Occupational Therapist
• Working with Children Check (QLD Paid Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain
• Current P2 or Opens Australian driver's licence (essential for travel between sites)
• Eligible for a Medicare provider number
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain
• Nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong organisational, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• A positive, client-centered approach to therapy

Responsibilities

• Assisting parents/families to develop understanding and knowledge of the NDIS to support their ability to make informed decisions
• Conducting standardised and non-standardised assessments
• Planning, implementing and evaluating individual therapy programs
• Completing documentation and writing functional reports in line with professional standards
• Working collaboratively with clients, families, support staff, and other allied health services
• Assessing home and school environments, prescribing aids, equipment and modifications as required.
• Identifying and providing appropriate information and education to clients, families, support staff, and other allied health services
