Job summary

Siena Catholic College in Sippy Downs, part of Brisbane Catholic Education, seeks a Secondary Teacher specialising in Maths, Science and Religious Education. This permanent full-time role involves delivering engaging, future-focused learning across key subject areas within the Australian Curriculum and supporting students’ spiritual development.

You will collaborate with colleagues and leadership to build quality programs, assess progress and report to families, while upholding Catholic values

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.
• Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs and pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community.
• Work with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to foster a positive school culture.
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes.
• Establish positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development.
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

• Salary: $86,601 - $124,725 per annum + 12.75% Super
• Status: Permanent Full Time

About the opportunity

As a secondary teacher specialising in Maths, Science and/or Religious Education, you will be responsible for:

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
