St Thomas More College in Sunnybank, part of Brisbane Catholic Education Office, seeks an enthusiastic Secondary Teacher (English & Religious Education) on a 12-month contract. The role requires Catholic faith, current QCT registration, and commitment to delivering Catholic education within a supportive school community.

Summary

St Thomas More College, Sunnybank is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teacher (English & Religious Education) on a 12 month contract to join its vibrant learning community, inspiring students through engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

• Contract date: 20th January 2027 - Until end of 2027 School Year
• Work hours:30.00 per week
• Status:Full Time Fixed Term/Variation

About the opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
• Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
• Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.

• Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
